Take part in the XXVIII Spanish Road Week (Santiago de Compostela, 22-25 June)

AECIn the last twenty years Spain has experienced a real revolution on road infrastructures. The main factors enabling this important evolution are a propitious economic juncture, the skills and experience of technical and financial managers and the remarkable support of institutions.

Currently Spain holds the Presidency of the European Union. At the same time this year is the Xacobeus Saint Year. Therefore, it takes place the perfect scenery to promote from inside to outside the savoir faire of Spanish road sector and that’s why the XXVIII Spanish Road Week will gather hundreds of experts between 22-25 June in the Galician city of Santiago de Compostela.

Many international speakers are expected to participate in this Road Week, among them Mr. Zoltan Kazatsay, Deputy Director General for Energy & Transport at the European Commission, who will take part in the opening session.

"Expoviaria 2010", an exhibition which will present the achievements of public and private road-related actors to the week of the meeting, will run in parallel to the Congress sessions.

Organized by the Spanish Road Association (AEC) and promoted by Xunta de Galicia and Xacobeo 2010 Galicia, the Congress will deal with topics such as the technical, economical and financial keys of the road network, the management of European funds, the administrative determining factors, and the public-private cooperation tools, among others.
